Spot UV Varnish

What is spot gloss UV varnish printing?  Clear gloss UV varnish is printed through a mesh screen, like normal inks, but unlike solvent or waterbased inks it has to pass through a UV dryer in order to cure the varnish and leave a high gloss finish, creating a three dimensional effect (often referred to as raised varnish),  perfect for highlighting text and images and works particularly well when paired with matt laminated stock for maximum contrast.  We can also printed matt spot UV, once dry the spot varnish imparts a heightened vibrancy, luxury, tactile quality and instantly elevates the visual appeal of any print. As specialists in digital spot uv varnishing  you can be confident of a perfect result every time.

What is UV varnishing used for?

What is the difference between UV and spot UV?

Applying a spot UV varnish to your box design or printed goods provides a quality coating. Not only does it shield against scuffs, fingerprints, and smudges, but it also enhances the perceived value of the product.

Why is UV Varnishing so popular?

Spot varnish can be used to make logos, headlines, photos, and graphics stand out in brochures or marketing materials. It’s great for giving high-quality business cards an extra touch of impact and prestige.

Wherever you apply it, spot UV varnish brings interest, deepens colours, and provides a finish that makes people want to pick up and take a closer look at printed materials.
